Our Telecoms client are currently recruiting nationally for CIVIL DIG contractors to join Installation teams throughout the UK. You will have excellent communication skills via email, telephone and face to face, a positive approach to work, be conscientious and have a flexible attitude.
You will be required to work on project deployments for customers across the UK.
You will be under the direction of the Operations Manage/Site Agents. You will be required to perform excavations, repairs and reinstatement’s, installation of ducting, chambers and the installation of draw rope on telecoms infrastructure located within the public highway and customers premises using up to date client standard operating procedures and in full compliance to current legislation, health and safety requirements and company policies.
Roles and Responsibilities:
You will be able to provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets & associated equipment. Clear blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standard ensuring all information / pictures are captured on the company supplied iPads. Install new draw rope on all (cleared blockages, duct sections, pole bends) Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily works on AFS, risk assessments / plant sheets / van sheets) Experience of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities. To be responsible for the company assets & plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties. To treat the public with respect and provide support at all times. Ensure compliance with all current client processes and procedures Experience in a similar operational or engineering environment within the BT/Openreach telecommunications industry. You will hold a full UK drivers’ licence and have a minimum 2-year proven driving experience with no more than 6 penalty points.
You will also be able to prove confident skills in the area of street works and have industry recognised qualification to the following standard: NRSWA Must have units 1 to 9 Street works qualification or be in a gang in which 1 person is accredited. Experience of working on Openreach Civil projects is required
