They have new opportunities for experienced M&E Commissioning and Installation Engineers with previous experience in MEICA projects, to work across their framework with United Utilities, in a Lead capacity.
These roles involve working alongside our MEP engineers providing a site based mechanical, electrical and process commissioning service on high volume projects (e.g. wastewater treatment plants, clean water treatment plants, pumping stations, chemical dosing systems and M&E refurbishment projects) as well as having the ability to understand the risks of commissioning on existing processes.
Main Duties / Responsibilities:
Overseeing supplier/subcontractor' activities on site as a key aspect of the role to ensure we continue to deliver our projects to an extremely high standard.
Develop commissioning plans, commissioning method statements, risk assessing of all commissioning stages to ensure the safe integration of mechanical,electrical and process plant is brought into operation for successful completion and handover to United Utilities
Provide support and advice to existing MEP engineers
Problem Definition / Design input
Confirmation and approval of subcontractor drawings and designs
Produce design, H&S and contract documentation
Assistance with production of estimates and costs
Undertaking Site based commissioning
You will be/have:
Comprehensive working knowledge and experience of mechanical & electrical process plant fault-finding and solution solving capabilities
Correct electrical qualifications to be approved to work on client's electrical equipment and be able to read and interpret single line drawings
Experience in the process / water industry
Preparation and understanding of technical reports and documentation to a high level
Excellent communication skills
Experienced in design, construction and commissioning stages
Environmentally and commercially aware
