Our client is currently recruiting for a Service Planning Supervisor to work within their Energy team ensuring maximum utilisation of our engineer resource.
You will liaise with the Sales team to receive handovers and prepare job packs, with the Service Contracts Supervisor to ensure they meet their contractual obligations and with their engineers to support their job preparation and delivery.
The role is based at their office in Thame, Oxfordshire.
The Service Planning Supervisor will report to the Service Response and Delivery Manager and will be responsible for managing the schedule and coordinating with the team of engineers to achieve high utilisation targets and efficient delivery of their service portfolio.
The key accountabilities for this role are:
To receive handovers from Sales colleagues and prepare job packs for delivery
Ensure that the scheduling system it updated to reflect the correct scope of work
Work with colleagues and customers to meet agreed dates and objectives
Tackle resolution of scheduling conflicts to find the best solution for all customers.
To manage subcontractor liaison ahead of jobs including preparing job packs and customer documentation i.e. RAMS
To coordinate procurement activities required for successful job delivery, often including sourcing equipment and product from suppliers and arranging their set up via our purchasing team.
To communicate effectively with the operational site team to ensure smooth delivery of the complete solution.
Work collaboratively with the team of engineers on a job to enable them to produce optimum results, this may require out of hours support to ensure jobs happen as planned
Collate reports from engineering following jobs and ensure all parts used are consumed
Ensure cost control is maintained on all jobs and reported job costing on completion.
Identify and implement cost savings wherever possible
Recognise areas for improvement and communicate them to the management team to support continual improvement
Report on utilisation figures monthly and provide base information for the 90-day look-ahead (monthly) and any other ad-hoc schedule reports as required.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
You will have experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally within an engineering, manufacturing or similar environment.
Experience of delivering efficient and effective services to customers
Good working knowledge of MS Excel
General computer literacy and the ability to pick up software and systems quickly
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Educated to degree level or similar relevant higher education
Hold a UK Driving licence
