Our clients R&D centre of excellence in Edinburgh, has a new vacancy for a Software Engineer to join its Application Infrastructure software development group. The Application Infrastructure group delivers into internal customers across the organisation, supplying a framework used to build clinical applications as well as the libraries and platform services that these clinical applications use at run-time. You will be working within one of the group’s feature focused delivery teams that provide the services and capabilities that clinical applications require to be able to run consistently, in a variety of different deployment types.
Within this role, you will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the product development lifecycle, from requirements capture through to product release and support. Our client is looking for enthusiastic engineers, who enjoy working as part of a team, and have the drive and ability to learn and develop new skills. This includes both recent graduates and engineers with several years of experience, who are keen to further develop their career.
Candidates without an academic record should instead be able to demonstrate that they have a strong understanding and practical experience of working within a software development role. For practical skills, we are looking for candidates who have experience of working with an OOP language, ideally, Java but experience of C++ would also be suitable - both of these languages may be used within the role.
